Oxnard-- The Ventura-- The featured Cats at Cassie’s Cats and Kittens in September are Coral and Cindy, a pair of 18-month-old sisters with a world of love to give.
CORAL and Cindy are friendly, affectionate cats and, when ready, will come over and rub against you, solicit petting, and flop around on the ground in a playful manner.
Cassie’s Cats and Kittens Founder Jennifer Thompson said the duo came to the Lounge via Stray Paws Animal Haven in Los Angeles, which specializes in trapping outdoor Feral and Community Cats, spaying and neutering them.
“When they come across Kittens they think can be socialized and adopted out, they try to get them into foster homes instead of releasing them back out to where they found them,” Thompson said.
Coral and Cindy can be shy at times, Jennifer said, and visitors have found it best when the duo approaches the Cat Lounge guest first.
“Sometimes, the girls don’t want to be petted right away,” she said. “They want to check you out first and decide you are okay; let’s be friends. I think they appreciate having a minute or two to decide that you’re an okay…
