Corrective Action Plan making good progress

Oxnard-- The Finance & Governance Committee, Tuesday, May 24, approved an update of the corrective action plan for the 2021 single audit report.

JENNIFER Hiraoka, senior manager of internal controls, presented the item, and she said they last received an update at the end of 2021, and the city continues making progress with its internal controls.

“Today, the only definitions that apply to the current unresolved corrective action plan items are in progress and complete,” she said. “We are pleased to report that the three items that were in the To Be Tested status (policies and procedures approved if applicable, training completed, and corrective action ready for auditors to test during the next single audit) during our last update have moved to complete after the corrective action that the city has put in place, and was reviewed by the Eadie + Payne team.”

She said the 2021 audit found one additional finding, two previous findings remain unresolved, and no material weaknesses.
