Oxnard—The Fifth Annual All for One Car Show returned to downtown on Sunday, July 26, and the event was swamped by gear heads, classic cars, souped-up hot rods, and plenty of car clubs showing off their best.
THE show, sponsored by the Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association, had vendors selling lots of items, Civic Groups raising money, cars on their edge, and attendees admiring all the classic cars and reminiscing about their first time buying a car.
Oxnard Car Club member Art Ellinas Senior brought his 1972 El Camino to the show, which he’s owned for four years.
“I had a previous one before and dismantled it, and I had to have another one,” he said. “This one I bought turnkey; I paid a little money for it, but it was turnkey.”
He said it comes down to a choice.
“You can take the time to restore it, or you can get in and drive it,” he said. “I’d rather spend the money and drive it.”
He said the club spends lots of time helping the community.
“We do Toys for Tots, and we participate at all the High Schools,” he said. “We support charities and support baseball and help the schools.”
