Epi: Wilson Senior Center is my family

Oxnard—The Tri County Sentry’s featured Senior is Sebifinio (Epi) Armas, who, after a 20-year hiatus, rediscovered true joy along with his wife, Maria.

“I lived in Oxnard for 19 years, and we moved away to Concord, CA, and we came back,” he said. “I came back because this is the best place for me and my wife.”

He said the Wilson Senior Center has friendly people, and the people are nice to Maria and him.

“The people who manage this place are the best because when you talk to them, they always listen to you,” he said. “We like playing all the games like Loteria and Bingo.”

He and Maria are inseparable. They recently visited his Grandson, who is an engineer.

“Maria and I like bingo very much, “Epi said. “I made some money at Loteria twice.”

They both like Zumba very much.

“In this place, I have brothers,” he said. “the Wilson Senior Center is way better than it was 20 years ago.”

He said his best friend, Donal, gives him rides to the Wilson Senior Center.
