Channel Islands— The weather may be changing, but the handmade goods and unique treasures keep on rolling along each Sunday at the Channel Islands Farmers’ Market.
A large crowd of people stocked up on fresh imported food, Hummus, and picked up some distinctive art, leaving happy and full of shopping bags.
Chris Aaron runs Pronto Italia, which started about a year ago.
“This was inspired by somebody’s mother’s employee, who wanted to bring it to the United States,” he said. “Our most popular product is a risotto fritter, which is filled with lobster. We also have beef, pork, and veggie options.”
Chris likes the Eggplant Parmesan.
“Everything we have that’s boxed, jarred, or in a pint is imported from Italy,” he said. It’s from their hometown, and you can only get it here.”
Annette Schaffer said she’s tried Pronto Italia, and “it’s amazing.”
“I’ve had the lobster, and I’m looking for the carpaccio,” she said.

Chris likes making his own flexible schedule.
“We met some great people at Channel Islands Farmers’ Market, who have become regulars,” he said.
