Oxnard-- So, once I get rolling, things go smoothly, then my email bell goes off, and I’m sitting on the precipice of a mess. Let me explain; I heard from the printer and found out that because of the Holiday, I need a finished version of the latest paper in less than 18 hours.

Now I understand about the Holiday, but a little more warning would have been helpful. In other words, there was no way I could round everyone up with no notice.

Okay, it’s not a problem I can’t handle. I’ve dealt with thousands of issues over the years, especially when I was in the restaurant business, and the key is a good plan, good communication, and execution.

So I get a local printer to work with. Although the Holiday will delay the paper until early Tuesday at best, a local printer gives me more flexibility than waiting for a delivery. I spoke with my staff, and we were all on the same page.
