Oxnard--I must admit, new tires are like a new lease on life and freedom to drive where you need to.
LAST week, I noted that I stopped to get air for my rear tires and was told I should be okay until my Thursday appointment, which meant I had a flat in Ventura the following morning.
This means I was stranded in Ventura without a spare; remember the good old days when you bought a car? I guess that’s over. There was a flat repair kit that made a mess and didn’t work. Adding to the problem was I couldn’t get to my insulin, which had my continuously updating glucometer going nuts because I had high blood sugar.
I was lucky when my tow truck driver arrived and drove me to the tire repair shop. After we dropped off my car, he heard my alarm and took me home so I could get my insulin. He is a great person. I bought his lunch and thanked him for his efforts.
