Oxnard-- Nothing wreaks havoc on me more than rain washing out community events. I know we need the rain, but it would be better if it rained on Wednesday.
MY Sunday started well; there was an early event scheduled, so I got out the door at 7:30 a.m. with my camera and microphone to do a story, only to find a canceled sign on the door. It was raining.
Well, there was no permanent damage, so that means I get an afternoon to work on my to-do list. That means a trip to the department store to buy a new frying pan. I have an old one that lost its non-stick quality. It’s old and warped, so the cooking spray I use migrates to the edge of the pan.
My Doctor told me to stop eating pre-packaged frozen meals because of the sodium content; that means I have to cook a lot more and need new cookware.
I also continued my quest to find a low-sodium replacement for salt. I bought Horseradish, not my favorite, but it was okay.
