Oxnard--It never fails; no matter where I go, I have massive issues with going to the doctor.

THE latest episode has me out of town, running out of blood pressure medication with no refills available.

I thought, okay, I’ll find a doctor, and then I find out there is a 400-person waiting list to be seen, and since it’s a temporary thing for me, well, good luck.

I was referred to a walk-up clinic at a local hospital that could help me, so I thought, yeah, it will work out fine.

Guess again.

I got there, filled out the paperwork, told them what I needed, and sat down to wait. I was set up to write, so it could have been worse, and then it became worse.

They sent out some kid who said sorry, we won’t see you or give you your blood pressure medications.

I turned to the young lady and asked, are you refusing to treat me at a walk-up clinic, where they take everybody, and she said yes.

I told her no problem. All I’ll need is the name of the clinic’s attorney, and I’ll be on my way.
