Oxnard-- The rain woke me up, so I decided to write since my weekend is full of Holiday events.
SOMETIMES it’s stressful covering so much, but I pride myself on being a good time manager who can get to as much as possible.
One stress I handled is getting the paper in my car ready for delivery, and I’m pleased to say that the Tri County Sentry is now printed in Oxnard. Until last week, the paper was printed in Woodland Hills, nowhere near us, and I would have to pay for and wait for the delivery service to bring it to Oxnard. That usually didn’t happen until the end of the day each Friday, negating any chance of getting the paper to pickup locations across Oxnard, Port Hueneme, and Ventura.
That changed dramatically when I got an early call and drove to pick the paper up and start delivering. You have no idea how much it would stress me out sitting around all day stuck in my office waiting because they would drive the paper back to Woodland Hills if I wasn’t there to sign for it.
