Golf Course Revenue

Oxnard—The City Council, Tuesday, October 6, will discuss the 2025-2026 Golf Fund Close-Out and additional Budget appropriations.

ASSISTANT Public Works Director Steve Howlett made the presentation and asked the City Council to approve and authorize additional budget appropriations in the amount not to exceed $291,401 for fiscal year 2025-2026 expenses in the Golf Course Operating Fund, and to project a budget appropriation of $52,500 from the Golf Course Operating Fund and the corresponding Golf Course Operating Fund transfers in and appropriations from the same amount for the River Ridge Event Space Project.

Howlett said the City of Oxnard owns the River Ridge Golf Course under the supervision of the Public Works Department.

“The golf operations consist of two 18-hole golf courses, which are currently operated and under contract by American Golf Corporation (AGC) since July 1, 2025,” he said. “This is the second management agreement with AGC, with the first agreement having been awarded on July 1, 2019.”

He said the Staff and American Golf Corporation are closing the fiscal year 25-26 golf operations budget with $6,536,587 in revenue and $6,091,452 in actual operating expenses.
