Improvements planned at Cassie's Cats

Ventura—Things are shaping up for a great 2025 at Cassie’s Cats & Kittens, as Founder Jennifer Thompson believes that more Cats will find their furever home this year.

THE Lounge had 38 Cats going out to deserving families in 2024, which was down slightly.

“We’re looking to redo our lobby with a secure wall and door system,” she said. “We’ve got some quotes, and a team is coming out to do a site visit this month; they’ll look at our space and tell us how we can do it.”

That increases security for the Cats and will make the lobby look more polished and professional.

“It will make it easier for the Volunteers to manage the door between the lobby, the Lounge, and the front door,” she said. “It’s going to be safer and more secure for everybody.”

She said Cassie’s Cats & Kittens is in sound financial shape and ready to welcome “a Cat or two” that hopes to find loving Parents.

 

“They might need that eye surgery or some major medical and are languishing in the shelter,” she said. “If we can’t take them ourselves, we’ll help cover some costs for that Cat. We’ll keep our hearts…
