IN CONTEMPT DELIVERS ROCK ‘N’ SOUL HITS

Channel Islands-- The Concerts by the Sea Series continues Saturday, August 13, with In Contempt, a “classic rock ‘n’ soul band” that played an array of hits that engaged the appreciative crowd.

THE large crowd danced the night away while some sat contently tapping their toes, bobbing their heads, and enjoying the music.

During the break, Teri Sojka said she brought Sophie, the dog who loves R&B Music and likes to dance.

“I’ve never seen In Contempt before, but I’ve heard great things about them,” she said. “I like R&B, rock, everything.”

She likes the old stuff, like Motown.

“All the Motown music was so good,” she said. “I have some friends coming that said this music is so good, so I’m so excited.”

She said the Concerts by the Sea are the best ticket in town.

“It’s perfect weather and a perfect way to sit and enjoy the afternoon,” Teri said. “There is so much to do here every day.”

 

Her Friend Shelly Levin likes Michael Jackson, and the duo plans to get out and do some dancing.

“I’ve got the moves,” she said. “We both do. You’ll see us out on the dance floor. I don’t know…
