Oxnard—Wednesday afternoon is a great money saver for Cat and Dog Parents, as Marina Animal Clinic offers its popular Vaccine Clinic to keep the animals safe and healthy.
THE Clinic is a great money saver because the Vet Techs perform the shots and services, although the Vet is there to consult on complex issues.
The Dogs love the service, especially in the waiting room, and spend their time catching up on all the gossip from other Dogs.
Practice Manager Robin Denis said the vaccine clinic started before she came to work at Marina, while she worked in the retail industry.
“I grew up with Cats and Dogs, and I wanted to learn something new,” she said. “The common shots are the Rabies, Bordetella, and the Parvovirus.”
Robin has treats for the Dogs, cut-up pieces of beef sticks to keep them happy.
“I stock up on all the shots so we have what they need,” she said.

“ Rabies is the most common for licensing,” she noted. “I don’t give vaccines, but I’ll hold them when they poke them. The parents like how accessible the shots are.”
