Ventura County is still helping people who are having trouble paying their utility bills. THANK goodness this has been an ongoing effort by Community Action of Ventura County,” he said. “They are continuing to provide utility bill assistance to our residents. They will be holding more workshops scheduled on Monday, October 9 as well as Monday, October 23.”
The workshops are shifting to the afternoon, he said, and they’ll be held from 2-4 p.m. at 214 South C Street.

The Fire Department’s free smoke detector program continues, and he noted that in two of three fires, the City responds to fires that have no working smoke detector at the residence.
