Oxnard—Assistant City Manager Eric Sonstegard said during the City Manager’s report on July 31 that National Night Out was on Tuesday, August 4, which is a great opportunity for families to get out, enjoy the great weather, and interact with City officials.
HE noted that Police and Fire were at the different events across the City of Oxnard.
“There are 12 different neighborhoods that have organized night out events, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday,” he said. “There is a disaster preparedness coming up from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. called Prep in the Park Saturday, September 26, at College Park, 3250 South Rose Avenue.”
The event will have Police, Fire, and lots of preparedness things at Prep in the Park.
“They’ll have an earthquake simulator, and I hope it’s the only time you’ll experience something like that,” he said. “There will be tons of different stuff, and you can get free stuff and learn how to do CPR and learn how to work a fire extinguisher.”
