OPD arrest teen with Glock

Oxnard—At 4 p.m., Sun. Dec 29, 2024, an Oxnard Police Officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 Block of Cuesta Del Mar Drive.

ONE of the vehicle’s occupants suddenly fled and discarded a bag on top of a nearby apartment roof.

Officers apprehended the passenger after a brief foot pursuit, and the discarded bag was retrieved and contained a loaded Glock 9mm handgun.

The passenger, a 15-year-old Oxnard resident, was arrested for firearms charges, which included possession of a firearm near a school.
