Oxnard Downtowners Foundation Recognized

Oxnard—The City Council, Thursday, July 30, presented a commendation to the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation.

MAYOR Luis McArthur read from the commendation and said, “The City Council expresses its sincere appreciation to the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation, a group composed of Downtown Merchants and volunteers dedicated to ensuring a healthy downtown area.”

McArthur said special acknowledgments are given to Matt Whitecomb and Gary Blum for their significant contributions and their unwavering cooperation in working with the Mayor’s Office to organize the July 3 event at Plaza Park in commemoration of America 250.

“Whereas the mission of the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation is to support and contribute to a successful, revitalized Downtown Oxnard,” he said. “Their involvement was absolutely key to realize this event in the heart of our City.”
