AECOM agreement approved

Oxnard— The Oxnard City Council, on Tuesday, September 2, approved an agreement with AECOM for engineering services during construction.

The agreement is for one year and four months, from September 3, 2025, until December 31, 2026, and will not exceed $835,335.

Assistant Director of Public Works Tim Beamon presented the item, stating that on June 7, 2023, the Wastewater Division awarded an agreement to Keiwit Infrastructure West for a Wastewater Reliability Improvement Project.

The project includes the construction of a new electrical building and motor control centers, a maintenance storage building, security upgrades, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, and other enhancements.

“The project is currently 75 percent complete and remains an active construction,” he said. “AECOM served as the original designer and engineer of record for the project and has been providing engineering services since 2015.”

As with most Capital Improvement Projects, he said the designer of record provides support during the construction phase and responds to requests for additional information, submittal review, and commissioning the start-up of treatment processes.
