Ventura-- The regular Car Club at
Antique Adventures had another great show Sunday, November 27, as the event featured plenty of unique cars, collectors talking about Christmas, and lots of great camaraderie indicative of area clubs. Christmas is approaching, and car owners made sure their classics were ready to go.
Tom Berger from the Pharaos Car Club had his 1937 Ford Slant Back, which is a custom build, looking good, and noted that he isn’t looking for anything particular this Christmas.
“The best part of this year is hanging out with the guys,” he said about his Sunday mornings. “You don’t see them if you don’t come down here.”
He said the Pharaohs are slow in the area, but some new members did join.
“These people have been in clubs their whole lives and don’t want to join any more clubs,” he said.
Louie Salgado brought his 1935 Ford Roadster with a rumble seat.
“It’s not complete; I’m still working on it,” he said. “I need to do upholstery and just had it freshly painted. It’s a start.”
Louie said the car was his Dad’s, and he started building it in 1977.
