Oxnard--The Public Works & Transportation Committee approved a landscape maintenance agreement with Garcia’s Landscaping Maintenance for the Riverpark Ballfields within Community Facilities District No. 5 (CFD5) on Tuesday, October 24.
THE agreement will not exceed $1.725 million for a five-year, two-month period and ends on December 31, 2028.
Special Projects Division Manager Anthony Miller presented the item and said Garcia’s Landscape will handle Riverpark Ballfieds within CFD5.
“The Special Districts Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and administration of Oxnard’s 50 Special Districts, including CFD5, or Riverpark,” he said. “Each of these Special Districts has specific, individual authorized services and improvements, including, but not limited to, park landscapes, open spaces, parkways, medians, other public improvements, and recreation and park amenities, such as picnic shelters, restrooms, arbors, and fountains.”
He said parcels in each District are assessed in an annual parcel assessment for the purposes of maintaining these and other authorized services and improvements within their District.
