Car show community is special

Ventura-- Car enthusiasts of all types at Antique Adventures enjoyed all the benefits Sunday, March 12; cool, unique cars, hot coffee, plenty of mechanic talk, and advice.

IT’S the sense of community the family loves that keeps them coming back and attracting newcomers who are always welcomed.

Ramiro Victoria brought his 1955 Chevy 210 with a 383 Stroker Engine with 450 Horsepower to the party and bought it about 18 months ago when he retired.

“I had an opportunity to buy one 30 years ago, but with my Kids in College, I couldn’t do it,” he said. “Once I retired, my wife said we’re payment free on the house; the Kids are out of College, you have time to do what you want, so let’s go look for your car.”

He said the car was in good shape when he bought it, so it didn’t require a bunch of restoration.

“It costs a lot more money to restore it than to find one that’s already done if you can find it for a good price,” he said. “This car was completely redone in 2009, and the Gentleman that rebuilt it had it for several years, and he sold it…
