Ventura—Things are looking great at Cassie’s Cats & Kittens, as the Lounge had 38 Cats going out to deserving families throughout the year and plans an even bigger 2025.
UNDER Founder Jennifer Thompson’s watchful, caring eye, fueled by passion plus an amazing group of volunteers, the group cares for, socializes, tends to medical needs, and ensures each Kitty has a fantastic furever home.
Jennifer works with the Apple Valley Shelter and has a great relationship with Shannon’s Fosters and Rescue in Simi Valley, who understands which Cats will do well at the Lounge and four Los Angeles Trappers, saving lost Kitties.
“We had a lot of people come by our booth at RescueCon that didn’t know about us,” Jennifer said about its community outreach. “We’re getting our name out into the Community as another non-profit in the area and a place to just visit with Cats and adopt.”
A Cassie’s Cats & Kittens Guest Speaker, Dulcy Sturtevant, learned about the Lounge at Rescue Con, which became a “Communicating with your Cat Workshop.”
