Ventura—In his Tuesday, October 21, report to the City Council, City Manager Bill Ayub said they still need applicants for the design review committee and commission to serve.
“The application period is open through December 19, and these advisory groups provide critical input on urban design, development, and water resource planning,” he said.
They must be City residents, and he said they must have knowledge of urban design, with the ability to interpret development plans.
“For our Water Commission, residents must reside within the Ventura Water Service area and demonstrate knowledge or interest in the water-related field,” he said. “City residency is not required. Applicants need to live in the water service area. Details and applications are available on the City’s website.”
The water reclamation facility held an open house on Saturday, October 25, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 901 S. Kimbal Road.
“Residents explored the infrastructure and invested in that which protects Ventura’s water and wastewater future,” he said. “They learned about advanced water treatment and building sustainable supplies for generations to come.
