Oxnard--It was a shopper’s utopia Sunday, April 2, as the Oxnard College Foundation hosted a Community Marketplace on the campus.
THE event made good on its promise to have many items for sale to use in the home, along with produce, packaged goods, and gifts. Hundreds of patrons took advantage of all the great deals.
The Foundation says it’s raising money for “scholarships and basic need grants and encourages people to check their calendar for upcoming special events.”
Alberto brought many Parakeets to sell and said he has them all at his house, and the group sang blissfully for the crowd.
“I’ve been raising Parakeets for a long time,” he said. “I give them a good home. Mostly, they stay in their cages, but sometimes they fly around the house.”
Alberto said the birds cost $85.
“This was in my heart,” he said.
The Costco booth promoted its location and said it has more products available for the consumer.

“We have great customer service with our members, so member service is number one,” the Membership Representative said. You’d have to ask the members. They have the answers.”
