Oxnard—The Finance and Governance Committee, on Tuesday, September 23, approved its purchasing authorization for Compuwave Incorporated.
Chief Information Officer Rob Roben presented the agreement, which is a two-year blanket agreement with Compuware for $1.4 million, with a total not to exceed $4.035 million, for the purchase of hardware and related services.
“The agreement will support the timely replacement of critical IT (Information Technology), improve operational reliability, and align with the Council’s priority to strengthen the City’s cybersecurity posture,” he said.
The City’s computer networking infrastructure comprises over 200 physical components, and he said it supports delivering resident services across 27 City sites.
“In recent years, the Staff has intensified its focus on upgrading networking hardware and software throughout the City to strengthen and secure the technology infrastructure,” he said.
The City will use competitively bid Omnia Partners TD SYNNEX Sourcewell Contract # 020624-SYN.
“Insight provides the City with hardware and software that allows the foundational infrastructure to run optimally and to be protected from malicious threats at all of its locations,” he said. “This renewal adds $1.4 million through April 30, 2028, for a Not to Exceed amount of $4.035 million.
