Oxnard-- The Finance & Governance Committee, Tuesday, November 22, received an update about its Corrective Action Plan (CAP) covering its last audit findings.
The City last issued a Corrective Action Plan update in May, and since that report has made good progress in clearing previous audit findings, there aren’t many updates.
Senior Manager of Internal Controls Jennifer Hiraoka presented the video, and she said the City continues to maintain and strengthen its internal controls.
“We are keeping our commitment and providing you with Corrective Action Plan updates every six months,” she said.
The current Corrective Action Plan updates are either complete or in progress.
“One year ago, we reported that we had five unique unresolved findings with three findings ready to be tested,” she said. “In January 2022, during the Single Audit, Eadie & Payne tested three findings, the lease agreements finding, the pensions plan finding, and the notes receivable finding, and we cleared them.”
She said the Corrective Action Plans were put in place and implemented by the Finance Department, Human Resources Payroll Department, and Housing Department.
