Oxnard —I haven’t written a Frosted across both papers for quite a while, but people expressed concerns to the J-Train when I disappeared.
Things were going well. My colonoscopy went off without a hitch, the final stage to getting a kidney from Travis, my hero. When I went home, I rested. I got sick that night, but that’s pretty typical for me.
Then Sunday happened. I had a hard time walking. In fact, I couldn’t walk. I was lying in bed the whole day, and I thought wow, I feel horrible. I tried to get out and cover a few news stories.
