Oxnard--Eagle Moms were treated to a special Mother’s Day Breakfast at the Oxnard location, as they enjoyed pancakes, bacon, eggs, ham, sausage, and hashbrowns prepared and served by their Aerie brothers.
MOMS enjoyed breakfast, talked, laughed, and enjoyed the morning while kids called and stopped by to pay tribute to Mom and have some breakfast.
President David Duske said the guys were cooking eggs to order.
“We have sausage, ham, hashbrowns, and pancakes,” he said. “All the guys are cooking for all the Moms. Way back when the President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles went to Congress and petitioned to get Mother’s Day put on the calendar.”
Dave said his wife Peggy is coming down for breakfast after church with his granddaughter, but he wasn’t sure if his son’s family will stop by.
He wasn’t doing any cooking.
“I’m taking the orders and telling the good chefs what to do,” he said. “This follows right along with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles mission, People Helping People.”
David said his profound memory of his Mom was that she was at home.
