Oxnard--The weather was not perfect, but the coffee was hot, the donuts were fresh, and the classic autos shined at the Murphy Auto Museum’s Muscles & Mojo show Sunday, May 21.
THE event had many vintage classics, including Corvettes, Impalas, vintage Trucks, a repurposed Fire Truck, and a bright red Mustang GT Convertible.
Design Director Tim “Fireball” Lawrence said lots of rain in Malibu canceled a recent Muscles & Mojo, and he’s waiting for California to go out into the ocean and become an island nation.
Fireball has many collectible Cars inside the Murphy Auto Museum, but if one needs a replacement part, many shops in the 805 area code specialize in many things.
“There are mechanics that focus on German Cars,” he said. “We have a 1931 Rolls Royce in there, and we have a guy who specializes in vintage. “We have one guy who can drive the Car; it takes about 15 minutes to start. It’s really the ability to research and find out what’s nearby.”

He said being a new grandfather isn’t distracting him too much and noted that his stepson Sean Clark is traveling between Los Angeles and Atlanta working on movies.
