Muscles & Mojo races into the fall

Oxnard-- The heatwave may be subsiding, but things are still hot at The Official Murphy Auto Museum, as Muscles & Mojo roared back for its Sunday, September 18 get-together.

The event was loaded with cool, unique, and classic cars, Rock n Roll, crafts for sale, and lots of friends talking about cars and enjoying the morning.

Design Director Fireball Tim Lawrence said it is always nice at the Museum, and summers in paradise are not bad.

“Anywhere on the West Coast of Southern California is paradise,” he said. “We’re very blessed.”

He said the Museum just added a Porsche 914 called “The Creamsicle.”

“That one just came this past week,” he said. “We’re standing next to a 1931 Rolls Royce Boat Tail Speedster. It is in the Museum but out for today. Most of the time, we don’t drive this, but for shows once a month, we actually drive it.”

He said it takes about 15 minutes to start and has about eight different things someone needs to do before hitting the road.
