Oxnard--In his report to the City Council Tuesday, June 19, City Manager Alex Nguyen said the City issued a Groundwater Adjudication Notice on May 16.
“This is about Groundwater Adjudication Notices that property owners in Oxnard and the Oxnard Basin have been getting in the mail,” he said. “It seems like it’s been rolling out week after week. The best place to get the information is at opvcoalition.org. That’s the entity that is responsible for those mailers. This is not a litigation matter the City initiated, we have to be part of it, but it’s not for litigation per se. There is also information on the City’s website and YouTube channel; there is a brief video with our City Attorney explaining it. Folks that have received this notice and are confused by it, in the notice, there is a phone number to call to ask questions and the web address.”
He said Community Action continues to partner with Oxnard, and its next Utility Bill Assistance Program Workshop is from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. on June 26 at 214 South C Street.
