PH Budget Workshop raises questions

Port Hueneme--The City Council held a Special Workshop meeting Monday, May 22, which reviewed revenues and expenses for the upcoming biennial Budget.

Finance Director Lupe Acero presented the item and noted the entire staff played a critical role in putting the Budget together.

The City of Port Hueneme put together its Budget for Fiscal Years 23-24 and 24-25, and each fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

“At mid-cycle, sometime around the spring of 2024, we’ll come back to the Council to confirm the revenue and expenses,” she said.

The City of Port Hueneme and its related entities propose a Budget of $58.1508 million, with $26.5343 million in the general fund, $25.5724 million in the enterprise and other funds, and the Housing Agency has $6.044 million in Fiscal Year 24-24.

The 24-25 Fiscal Year Budget proposes City and its related entities at $57.092 million, with the general fund at $26.809 million, the enterprise and other funds at $24.1984 million, and the Housing Agency at $6.0846 million, slightly less fiscal year 23-24.
