Oxnard-- The Community Services, Public Safety, Housing & Development Committee, Tuesday, February 14, adopted the Five-Year Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan, Annual Agency Plan, and Capital Fund Program Five-Year Low Rent Public Housing Action Plan.
THE item was presented by Housing Programs Manager Brenda Lopez, who said the Five-Year Housing Authority plan describes the Housing Authority’s basic regulations, requirements, and operational program policies. The existing Five Year PHA Plan was adopted in 2020.
“The Annual Agency Plan, which would be in the third year of the five-year Agency Plan, outlines any revisions, activities, and progress towards the PHA’s goals and objectives annually,” she said. “These reports are required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under 24 CFR, Part 903.”
She said the plan serves as an application for Capital Fund Grants providing the necessary funding for Public Housing Units Capital improvements.
“These reports are due to HUD by April 14, 2023, 75 days before the start of the new Fiscal Year,” she said.
In 2023, she said the Oxnard Housing Authority is posting the revision and new activities.
“Specifically, the revision would be for the Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan,” she said.…
