Oxnard--The Planning Commission, Tuesday, August 3, approved Amendments to chapters 13 and 16 of the Oxnard City Code for Commercial Cannabis regulations.
Community Development Department Management Analyst Matthew Simpkins presented the video and said the new regulations permit indoor commercial cannabis cultivation in up to six City locations.
“The item was continued from the July 6 meeting due to the receipt of two comments and one comment letter,” he said. “One error that needed to be addressed and released includes an updated proposed ordinance.”
He said the staff report on August 3 addresses comments received after the publication of the July 6 staff report and recommends changes to the proposed chapters 11 and 16.
“The comment from the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District (VCAPCD), and also the changes to section 11- 487 (1)(2), the operating requirements for cultivators,” he said. “Section 4-473(B) modifies identified locations where indoor commercial cannabis cultivation is permitted, consistent with the Committee’s direction.”
