Oxnard--The Public Works & Transportation Committee, February 28, approved an agreement with Blackpointe Group Construction & Management for on-call fencing repair in the City.
PUBLIC Works Special Districts Project Manager Anthony Miller presented the item and said the total does not exceed $400,000 over a three-year term, tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2023 through April 2026.
“The Public Works Department oversees and manages parks, streets, public right of ways, Landscape Maintenance Districts (LMD), and Waterway Districts throughout the City,” he said. “Within each area, there are designated services covered by the general fund utilities and special assessments where maintenance of various types of fencing is required for safety and aesthetic purposes.”
He said the Staff receives reports of damaged, vandalized, and deteriorated fencing in the City each year.
“The on-call fencing and installation and repair services agreement will allow the Public Works staff to be responsive to the maintenance and needs of the community,” he said.
He said the notice inviting formal bids was published on December 22, 2022, and opened on January 11, 2023.
Blackpointe Group Construction and Management Incorporated and Fenceworks Incorporated responded, and Blackpointe was the lowest bidder.
