State Emergency Order to partially expire March 31

Oxnard-- In his Tuesday, March 15 report to the City Council, Alex Nguyen said if all continues to go well, this will be one of his final Covid-19 updates.

“The state’s emergency order is set to expire at the end of this month, and the way we expect it to work, according to the state, is that 18 of the executive orders will be lifted on March 31, and the other 15 will expire at the end of June,” he said. “At the next council meeting, we will also be lifting our various orders, some of which similarly expire on March 31, and a few will continue for 30 days or so.”

He said the funding to help people with rent relief is still available.

Nguyen said the Micro- Business Relief Grants are still available, and you can apply online at VCBusinessGrants.org.

“There is also a phone number, 888-405-1004,” he said. “For Micro Business Relief Grants, please apply.”
