Ventura—In his report Tuesday, February 18, to the City Council, City Manager Bill Ayub said the Community Development Department implemented a new online appointment request system.
“If you need assistance with a permit or planning application, you can meet with a technician or a Permit Services Technician by visiting cityofventura.gov/ permits,” he said. “Our next Mulch Madness event is Saturday, March 8, at the Public Works Yard, 336 Sanjon Road.”
Participants need to bring their bags, and limited shovels will be provided.
The Main Street Community Bridge meeting is at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, at 100 E Main Street. Details are forthcoming.
“Our decades-old bridge will have major improvements, thanks to a Department of Transportation Grant,” Ayub said. “The project meets new safety requirements and will improve traffic flow.”
“There are summer jobs at the Parks and Rec Department,” he said. “The City is hiring part-time Staff for camps, sports, aquatics, and special events like arts and cultural activities.”
The jobs are open to everyone, including the recently retired seeking a fulfilling opportunity
