Ventura--The sun was shining, the coffee was hot, the donuts were fresh, and the friendship was genuine at the Classic Car Cruise at Antique Adventures Sunday, April 23.
THE group gathered, laughed, told stories, joked around, and shared information about their passion, classic cars, and enjoying life.
Bill brought his 1956 Ford F100 truck to the event and said he bought it because it is cool.
“We put quite a bit of work, love, and money into that truck,” he said. “When I got it, it was a good base truck that already had been gone through, but it needed upgrades. A 1956 is 66 years old. We made those upgrades and made it safe and dependable for the road.”
He farms out most of the work.
Full Scale Hot Rods in Ventura does a really good job,” Bill said.
His truck will hold its own in the fast lane, he said, and the F100 is his “daily driver.”

“I get a lot of looks every day; thumbs up, nice truck,” he said. “My favorite is when they say my Grandpa used to have a truck just like that.”
