Oxnard--People looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day Gift got their wish and benefitted the Oxnard Band Boosters Sunday, February 5.
THE Valentine Vendor Market and Resource Event in the Oxnard High School Parking lots was loaded with treasures and keepsakes to make anyone happy.
The event featured food, Face Painting, live music performances, resources, and much more.
Event Organizer Lucy Cartagena is excited to see all the people who came out to support Oxnard’s youth.
“The Oxnard High School Band has to pay thousands per year just to keep the band going,” she said. “These vendors who are giving their vendor fees are wonderful.”
In addition to the monthly fundraiser, she said they plan to expand to Friday night during the summer possibly.
“We have a Vendor Market and Resource Fair,” she said. “We want to bring the community together and fill that gap. Our Vendors, some of them are students, some are employees, and some Vendors are actual workers.”
She said a Supervisor is selling food, a secretary is selling hats, and students are selling vintage clothes.
