Oxnard-- The City Council, Tuesday, November 15, approved agreement A-8505 with Toro Enterprises for the Ventura Boulevard sidewalk improvement project.
The agreement is for $2.467 million, with a project contingency amount of $246,709.
City Engineer Tatiana Arnout presented the video and said there would be a project allocation amount of $246,709 for engineering, inspection, survey, and project management, and a budget appropriation amount of $66,655 from TDAL/LTF3-BI/PED Fund (212) and budget reallocations of $144,736 within the Air Pollution Buydown Fee Fund.
There will be $359,416 within the General Capital Fund Outlay Fund for the project.
Arnout said the project was originally recommended through the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, which is about a decade old. It was the third-highest pedestrian project with the goal of getting people to walk and ride bicycles to destinations between Vineyard and Rose avenues.
