Victorian Harbor Boutique: A Dudley House oasis

Ventura—The spirit of the holidays filled the air at the Dudley House’s 30th Annual Victorian Harbor Boutique, as people found quality crafts, home décor, antiques, and collectibles, plus a silent auction and “bargain basement” on Saturday, November 30.

THE classic mansion was fully loaded with ornate handmade gifts that were perfect for decorating the home, and the Docents ensured plenty of coffee was ready for holiday shoppers.

Treasurer Jan Hunter organizes the Boutique every year and said it’s her hobby.

“I’ve been doing this for about 35 years,” she said. “It’s in our neighborhood, and I think it’s in the community’s best interest to have something like this. They can see a historic house and shop.”

She said 18 crafters filled the Dudley House with gifts.

“It works for everybody,” she said. “It’s a fundraiser for the house, and it helps the crafters.”

 

She loves all the family and food celebrated throughout the holiday season.

“I get to see all my crafters I only get to see once a year,” she said.

Shopper Andie Savard said she came with her Mother-in-Love to visit the Boutique and have some bonding time.
