Oxnard—The Wilson Senior Center Family was living life and having a great time Monday, June 26, as regulars enjoyed Dominoes, playing pool, reading, crafts and word puzzles and, as always, enjoyed the comaraderie that makes the location special.
THE group will enjoy an eventful summer, Director Jessica Serrano said, as the Center is getting ready to hold its first Prom scheduled for the end of June.
“It’s going to be during the day at our regular Center hours,” she said. “We’re looking to start the summer off with a good time. There will be dancing, raffles, and we’ll vote for our Prom King and Queen.”
The fun will continue on July 4, as the group will feature a special meal, followed by snacks and special games.
“We are also doing our first ever Vintage Fashion Show,” Serrano said. “It’s a free event but they do need to RSVP ahead of time. We’re going back in time and having it between the ‘50s to the ‘70s. It will be a lot of fun and it’s open for anyone to come.”

She said staff members, local residents and Seniors will model the clothing.
