Oxnard--As 2023 hits the ground running, the Wilson Senior Center “Keenagers” (Senior adults not old in spirit) enjoy the sense of community laced with friendships that exist at the Venue daily.
UPON arrival, new Keenagers will find plenty of people pursuing their passions and enjoying a sense of community and friendship that exists within the Center.
The gang can enjoy a lively game of Dominoes or perhaps some chair aerobics while Anthony, the Wilson Senior Center Wii Bowling Champion, practices and takes on all challengers.
Others enjoy quiet time and reading a Newspaper or a book, but everyone agrees that lunchtime is great.
The Dominoes gang was involved in a big match, but Linda said whoever runs out of Dominoes first wins.
“We all put a dime in and whoever runs out first gets the pot,” she said.
Pat added a scenario that if someone gets a seven (for example) they’ll put the number into play.
“Here, the person would need a three,” she said about a Domino in play. “You would need a seven, or three, or twelve, or eight.”
Pat put the first Domino into play on a particular game and chatted up her challengers.
