Pink Patch Fundraiser benefits Ribbons of Life

 

 

 

Channel Islands--The Oxnard Police Department’s “Battle Against Breast Cancer” continued Sunday, October 23, as the department visited the Channel Islands Farmers’ Market with its

Pink Patch and T-Shirt

Fundraiser. The Officers partnered and raised money for the Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation, an independent non-profit organization providing breast cancer education, advocacy, and emotional and social support to the County of Ventura.

The Officers drew a large crowd, and many took the opportunity to have their picture taken with officers in front of the Pink Patch Police SUV.

Oxnard Police Department Community Affairs Manager Paul Carganilla said the department is selling Patches and T-Shirts and raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness and Support for the fifth straight year.

“This year, we are raising money for the Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation,” he said. “It’s a local foundation that serves Ventura County specifically.”

 He said all the money raised goes to the Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation, and one of the OPD’s cornerstones is being part of the community.
