Meet Community Affairs Manager Paul Carganilla

Oxnard-- Paul was born in Thousand Oaks and raised in Simi Valley. He grew up surrounded by art and music - his parents met in the band at C.L.U. (then C.L.C.), and both became educators. At Royal High School, Paul was the Drum Major of the Marching Band, President of the Choir, and very active in theater. At Moorpark College and U.C.L.A., he continued his creative journey in the Theatre departments and chose to pursue a career in Entertainment.

Paul was cast in a stage show at Disneyland in 2005. years, he performed at the Anaheim resorts as Aladdin’s Genie, a Green Army Man, the Phineas & Ferb Dance Party D.J., the Sheriff of Frontierland, Farruco the pirate, and many more roles in a variety of productions.

During that time (off the clock), Paul explored independent filmmaking and became an award-winning screenwriter, director, producer, and editor. He has created numerous web series, short films, and music videos. He also wrote, directed, edited, produced, and starred in an original independent feature film -- a ghost story he shot at the historic Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula.
